Limitations of liability

Canadian Home Economics Foundation (CHEF) is providing an application form  for your convenience, without charge, and will review and process your completed application and render its decision as to funding in good faith and in accordance with the Mission of CHEF and Terms of Reference that may be associated with each award; such Mission and Terms of Reference are available on the CHEF website (www.chef-fcef.ca) . As such, CHEF will not be liable to you (whether under the law of contract, the law of torts or otherwise) in relation to the contents of, or use of this application form, or in relation to CHEF’s decision with regard to your application for funding, for any direct, indirect , special or consequential loss.

Reasonableness

In submitting an application, you agree that the exclusions and limitations of liability set out above are reasonable. If you do not think they are reasonable, you must not use or submit the application form.

Other Parties

You accept that, as a limited liability entity, CHEF has an interest in limiting the personal liability of its officers and trustees. You agree that you will not bring any claim personally against any CHEF officer or trustee in respect of any losses you suffer in connection with your application.
